Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina Shchenko is a Kyrgyzstani Muay Thy fighter. She competes currently with the UFC Flyweight division. Valentina Shevchenko, who is a former UFC Flyweight titleholder, and UFC fellow fighter is her older sister. Antonina Shevchenko, an experienced Muay Thai boxer started her career in fight sport at the IFMA World Championship Tournament. Shevchenko won this tournament in a unified victory against Suzane Miller. Antonina was able to continue her professional career after taking home bronze and silver medal in 2008 and 2007 respectively, a Gold medal in the year 2011, as well as the 2015 IFMA amateur Muay Thai world champion. Antonia started her professional journey back in 2003. She has taken home numerous titles including the K-1 World Champion, the Lion Fight Lightweight Championships and WMC as well as Phoenix FC World Championships. She was able to knock out Valerie Domergue during Phoenix FC 4. After leaving the league in 2018, Shevchenko was a part of Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko was matched against Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina's formidable strike abilities enabled her to TKO Nievera via knees in the body. In the aftermath of this victory, Antonina was given an UFC contract. Antonina Shevchenko was able to make her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hitters Finale against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko took victory in a unanimous decision, but she was defeated in her next fight by Roxanne Modafferi via an undisputed split decision. Antonina bounced back from losing to knock out Lucie Pudilova via rear-naked choking submission in the second round UFC on ESPN Covington Vs. Lawler. She earned an extra fight in the night in this fight. Shevchenko was defeated by Katlyn as well as Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski, and also defeated Ariane. Antonina has been defeated recently by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos-Walker.
